Treatments
Reflexology
Reflexology works on the mind, spirit and body. Specific finger and hand techniques are used to massage points on the feet or face, which reflect an image of the body, and therefore, produce an effect elsewhere in the body. For example the tips of the toes can relate to the head. With over 20 years of practising, the treatment never ceases to amaze me. The feelings of wellbeing are a perfect antidote for the current stresses of the world.
This treatment is either an hour or half hour, and can be added on to other treatments
Facial Reflexology
I had the amazing chance to be trained by Ziggie Bergmen with facial reflexology. This treatment starts with a mini facial before different reflex points on the face are worked on. It is an incredibly relaxing treatment that gives great results
Weleda Esthetician
The Weleda Signature Facial Treatment is a holistic wellbeing treatment and the ultimate self care ritual that meets, carries and strengthens your skin whatever phase it is in.
The hour and half hour Signature Facial starts with a warm foot bath, where we discuss and consider which variation of products will be used on you. You then move to the couch for gentle back and shoulder moves.
Once cocooned, I will then use warm and cool compresses to apply precleanse, cleanse, and clay mask, before the Rhythmic Activation Massage, which helps activate your skins processes and regenerative forces.
Then I go onto the Oil Phase, with a nourishing face massage and mask, and decollete massage.
Day care is then applied and the body grounded with relaxing foot moves.
If you are short on time, I also do an hour Weleda facial or an introductory half hour facial
Hand and Arm or Foot and Leg Treatments
These are wonderful treatments that can be either stand alone treatments or added on to another treatment. Still using the Weleda range in a purposeful, rhythmic touch.
TuiNa, Oncology & regular massage
TuiNa Massage is a Traditional Chinese Medicine massage. It is a strong forceful massage using special hand moves over a cotton sheet. I have found this to be very effective helping mobility
Oncology massage is a very gentle massage, designed for the client and recognised by the NHS and approved by Macmillan Cancer Support
I do a regular massage, using oils, which is both relaxing and reviving. Enjoy a full body treatment, or just a half hour back, neck and shoulder massage.
Non-Surgical and ZoneFaceLift Facials
The non-surgical face lift is a lifting facial that uses micro-currents. Originally used by consultants for stroke and bells palsy clients, these facials help to strengthen and lift muscles. For best results, these facials should be done regularly.
Why not ask about the eye treatment if you are going out on a special occasion?
The ZoneLift Facial includes facial reflexology, ZFL facelift moves, GuaSha Crystal and head massage, to naturally stimulate collagen and elastin, to plump, tighten and sculp the face. Can be a stand alone facial or, for best results a 12 week programme.
Herbal Medicine
I passed a 4 year Herbal Course with the School of Phytotherapy.
The training was intense! As well as learning about herbs, anatomy and physiology and pathology, we also had to study clinical examinations, medicine, differential diagnosis, gynecology, nutrition and paediatrics to name a few subjects. I also worked in the low income clinic and was able to gain over 700 clinical hours.
The initial consultation lasts an hour, and a full case history is taken, including childhood and family medical history, medication, diet, and presenting complaint.
I will then choose various herbal tinctures which will help and advise on diet.
